5 Why WeDos? The brain is stimulated by its sense of novelty and yearns for a challenge. Using Wedos as a tool to teach math and science fulfills such needs.

Assign interdependent jobs: Builder and Programmer Student love unpacking the kits when they first arrive, do one kit at a time. Each team will need a computer. The media center is an awesome place to meet. A projector to display mini-lessons and programming tips is highly beneficial. Club Tips Recruit as many volunteers as possible: parents, grandparents, and teachers. Personally invite girls to participate. Perhaps hold Lunch and Learn sessions for girls only. If dealing with a big group, have name stickers for each meeting for easy check in. Get one adult volunteer, to immediately call home if someone accidently got on the bus and to confirm absences. Record the number kit on their name tag. Keep a record of what kit each student is using for accountability for materials. Have parents come in to collect their children to see what is going on, assist with clean up and to ease dismissal needs. Complete all the tutorials from the Common Palette with your volunteers prior to meeting with the children.
