2010 first year goal is to get established as a legitimate Triathlon… a building year Deliver a great triathlon – we have a great course - athletes will return and bring friends if they enjoyed race! Raise $100K or more for the Alzheimer's foundation in the 2012 race and each year after Raise awareness of Alzheimer's to the NWA community Significantly contribute to eliminating Alzheimer‘s

Event Coordinator Set the swim, bike and run course Help set up the individual committee chairs Develop the race plan for the Bella Vista Police and the POA Apply for USAT sanctioning Race Director Coordinate all race day activities Brief athletes on the course and key USAT requirements

Meet with other race leaders in the area to understand their level of sponsorship (silver, Gold, Platinum, Tee-Shirt Sponsor? Prizes?) Meet with the NWA Alzheimer's group and leverage their resources Contacts Alzheimer’s Material Fund raising for past races Develop methodology for calling on businesses Write a form letter soliciting donations that can be distributed to individual companies by Alzheimer group members

Meet with other race leaders in the area to understand their approach Raise awareness about the event Get the word out to the papers Contact the Chamber of Commerce for the City of Bella Vista, Bentonville, Rogers, etc Publish event in POA flier Work with the Alzheimer's association to raise awareness to members Inform the local Triathlon groups about the event – it will be USAT sanctioned so your team gets points! (Brad can help) Tee-Shirts design if possible

Responsible for coordinating the timing system Currently there is a timing system on-hold for the race day – no splits Research and upgrade to a timing system that delivers splits if it is economical Manage the committee that operates the timing software and finish line on the day of the race

Setup Active.com for re-race day processing (Brad can help) Set up race day registration Entry form processing on the day of the race Manage goody bags Ensure racers have USAT race number or buy same day pass for insurance purposes Ensure waivers are signed on race day

Develops and maintains the Club web site Add Maps of the Course Add Race Day Information Add Links and Information about Alzheimer's Add Registration information Continually review the current web site for content, look and design

Race Day – Coordinate Marking the Course Photographer / Videographer Transition Coordinator Coordinate Park Cleanup Coordinate Water Station Coordinate Transition Area Setup Coordinate Parking

Meet with other race leaders in the area to understand their safety precautions Coordinate with the police, lake rangers, EMTs leading up to and after the race Review race plans with Brad and the Bella Vista police prior to the race (immediately) Request Fire department or EMTs for support on race day
