2. Rosa Parks Contributions
Was arrested for defying segregation laws.
Her arrest on Dec 5th, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama triggered the Montgomery Bus Boycott
Other forms of civil disobedience against segregation would follow her example.
Supreme Court rules against the Bus company, a victory for Rosa Parks.
Known as “The Mother of the Modern Day Civil Rights Movement”
