The 2012 ALL-STARS National Student Swim Challenge is a two-day swim meet to be held at Rizal Memorial Swim Complex on March 17 th -18 th 2012.. The ALL-STARS National Student Swim Challenge is an exciting swimming event providing an opportunity for developing swimmers to represent as an individual and team member in a national event. The event is open to swimmers in age groups 13 through to Open. Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP), is the official university sports organization affiliated with the Federation International Sports University (FISU). The FESSAP is once more honored to send elite swimmers to represent the Philippines in the 27 th Summer Universiade to be held in Kazan, Russia. In 2011 the event 26 th Summer UNIVERSIADE held at Shenzhen China included 21 athletes, 4 coaches, and medical representing Philippines became a pinnacle national swimming event in the swimming calendar year. This 2012 ALL-STARS National Student Swim Challenge will serve as an avenue of participation for the forthcoming 2013 Universiade to be held at Kazan, Russia, also in ASEAN University Games and ASIAN University Games For more information view in the website 2011 26 th Summer Universiade. GENERAL EVENT INFORMATION: TEAMS Maximum of four (4) swimmers from various schools/teams have the chance of representing their schools/teams for every events. ENTRY PROCEDURES Philippine Swim League Technical must be provided with Swimmer’s Entry Sheet (with picture and NSO birth certificate) by the Head coach. Swimmer must be a bonafide student of their school. (as shown in their Registration/Certificate of Enrollment ) (as shown in their Registration/Certificate of Enrollment ) All events will be swum as Timed Finals Entries close at 12midnight Monday 12 th March 2012. No late entries will be accepted. Entry fee (2 days) : P500.00 allows entry to a maximum of 4 individual events per athlete. AWARDS Medals will be awarded for 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd in each event. Points for Individual events Position1st2nd3rd4th5th6th7th8th Points97654321 The teams (HS & College) that achieves the highest number of points at the conclusion of the meet will be the winning team for the Challenge Trophy for Highschool and College.

ADMISSION TO MEET & SEATING All registered competitors, parents and spectators will receive a free entry pass to the venue for each day of the competition. There is seating designation for each club/school for this event. Each section will be clearly marked on the day – competitors, parents, coaches and spectators should sit in the team section they are associated with. Team/ Club/ School tarpaulin can be posted on their designated area. Please Note: Parents and Spectators are forbidden on pool deck at all times. PARKING Parking is available at Rizal Memorial Swimming Complex in a “first come, first served” basis.

PSL IN ACTION PHOTOGRAPHY PSL in Action (Deaf Photographer Assoc.) is the official photographer of the 2012 ALL-STARS National Student Swim Challenge. Photos from throughout the event will be available for purchase online the following week at www. Specific photo orders will also be available during the event via the PSL in Action desk near the Officials Table. No other photography will be allowed on pool deck for the duration of the event. Part of the proceeds of PSL in Action will be for the athlete & officials participating in the 7 th Asia Pacific Deaf Games on May 26-June 2, 2012, Seoul Korea.

OPENING CEREMONY The 2012 All-Stars National Student Swim Challenge will commence with an Opening Ceremony welcoming Officials, Guests and Teams to the event. Team T-Shirts must be worn for the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony will take place at 8:30am., Saturday 17th March 2012. All teams are requested to be in uniform in the pool deck area to prepare for their procession by 8:00am. Team streamers/tarpauline are requested to be carried by the team captain/member during the procession. Team managers will oversee each team. Route of the parade will be directed on the first day.

POLICIES AND GUIDELINES SWIM SUITS In the interest of equal opportunity, fair and equitable competition, and to prevent the deterioration of swimming skill development it has been determined that guidelines for swimsuits for Age Group Events conducted by PSL Technical are required as per Philippine Swimming League guidelines: General Swimsuit Guidelines (1) The swimsuits of all swimmers shall be in good moral taste and suitable for the individual sports discipline. (2) All swimsuits shall be non-transparent and must conform with FINA approved standards in all respects. OR (3) Until otherwise directed by PSL, swimmers may wear ‘traditional’ swimsuits provided the suits meet the following criteria: (i) Men’s swimwear may not extend above the navel or below the groin. Women’s swimwear shall not cover the neck, extend past the shoulders or below the groin. (ii) No zippers or other fastening devices are allowed except for a waist-tie on traditional swimsuits. (iii) Suits must be of textile material and must not contain any non-textile material such as polyurethane or neoprene. (4) The referee of a competition has the authority to exclude any competitor whose swimsuit does not comply with this rule. (5) Swimwear is limited to one (1) swimsuit.
