3 THOMAS PAINE COTTAGE 20 Sicard Ave., New Rochelle 914-633-1776  Given to Thomas Paine in 1784 for fighting to free the country from Britain’s rule.  Inside you’ll find Paine’s chair and a cast-iron stove used by Benjamin Franklin.  Permanent and temporary displays  Late 18 th century and early century décor.

20 After Your Visit  Write about the trip in your journal.  Create a Photo Story or a book.  Illustrate your favorite part of the trip.  Plan to revisit soon and bring a friend along.
