Is this image showing a deforested OR a reforested area? How can we tell?
8
Moving from ____________ to ____________ Bonus question!
9
It means to plant saplings on lands that has been cleared. Saplings of different species are planted to maintain the biodiversity in the area.
10
What is meant by biodiversity ? It can be described as the variety of plants and animals (species) and the places they live.
12
- Planting is a form of reforestation - Some environmental companies plant new trees after cutting down trees so that there is always a continuous supply of trees available.
13
Reforestation means? Why do we reforest forests?
14
We reforest so that: The negative effects of deforestation can be reduced. We would have more oxygen and cleaner air to breathe (plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen). Climate changes will be reduced. We can conserve natural habitats of animals and save them from becoming endangered and extinct.
