What does Audio Technology involve? Emphasis on the science, technology and engineering that features in audio equipment and software used in a broad range of areas e.g. – Music Production and Studios – Acoustics – Broadcasting – Computer Games – Cinema – Everyday life – computers, iPod, iPads, TVs etc.

Programme Info BSc(Hons) Audio Technology with Electronics – An engineering view of audio technology – Includes some audio production – Focuses on Signal processing, Acoustics Entry qualifications – Four H Grades at BBBB or equivalent including Mathematics at B – HND (GU 2 at A/B ) + various

Programme Info BSc(Hons) Audio Technology with Multimedia – Building on HND (usually Sound Production) – 2 year programme – Less mathematical/engineering focus – Includes where audio might be used, e.g web, video Entry qualifications – Entry qualifications – HND (GU 2 at A/B )

Semester Abroad / Placements Agreements in place/under discussion – Finland – Helsinki, Lahti – Denmark – Aalborg, Copenhagen – Germany - Hamburg – Funded under ERASMUS scheme Placements this year with: – BBC – Celtic Music Radio – Mediaspec – La Chunky Studios
