RENTAL SFS buy assets from Supplier and lease assets to Customer for fixed period of time Assets will remain at SFS balance sheet acc. to local GAAP (IFRS accouting treatment to be checked case by case) Assets will be returned to SFS at contract expiry Rental agreement can be based on fixed interest rates (SWAP) or floating rates (euribor, stibor, nibor, cibor)) FINANCIAL LEASING (DK, FIN, SWE) Differences to rental solution: Customer has obligation to appoint a buyer for the assets at lease expiry (buyer can be also Customer itself) Customer has obligation to recover SFS against eventual remarketing loss (i.e . buyer pay less than SFS residual value) HIRE PURCHASE (mainly requested in construction equipment and machine tool markets) Differences to Rental and Financial leasing solutions: Asset ownership will be automatically transferred to the Customer at the end of contract term Customer settle VAT in the beginning of contract term (same in case of outright purchase)

OPERATE LEASING (for assets with identified secondary markets) Leasing period is max 75% of the useful life of the assets At lease expiry Customer has the following options: Extend the lease or purchase assets based on fair market value of the assets Return the assets to SFS - SFS asset management will remarket the equipment using multinational remarketing networks Operate lease is flexible and has economical value for the Customer, because Easy for the Customer to swap into new technology without having economical risk of old assets SFS to take risk of asset value at the end of the lease to enable lower lease rates for customer during contract term SFS asset management can arrange return logistics from customer site MANAGED SERVICES FINANCING (in Siemens business only) Customer sign Managed Services Agreement (MSA) with Siemens Asset lease is included into MSA (bundled fee including lease and services) For Customer MSA financing makes economically sense and increases efficiences, because Customer does not have to source asset financing separately (e.g. no separate public tendering for financing) Customer to book all MSA fees as OPEX instead of booking the asset portion as CAPEX (IFRS check case by case) Title to the assets at the end of contract term can be secured for the Customer in MSA agreement FORFEITING (in Siemens business only) Customer sign purchase contract with Siemens including deferred payment terms >12 months Siemens receivables from the Customer will be assigned to SFS after signed contract and delivery acceptance (NOT FIT FOR PROJECT BUSINESS INCLUDING MILESTONE PAYMENTS!) Title to the assets will be automatically transferred to the Customer after all assigned payments received by SFS

We act as financial adviser to the operating units of the Siemens Group and structure, as well as arrange and implement, project and structured financing worldwide. Specifically, we review alternative financing solutions and risk-mitigation concepts for projects and are typically engaged in the early stages of projects in order to ensure cohesive and comprehensive project development that takes financial aspects into consideration from day one. We work for all divisions of Siemens AG. Typical project volumes range in general from about EUR 100 million – or from EUR 50 million for Healthcare – to more than EUR 1 billion.
