9 Program Initiatives NextGen Partnership LPV surveys are the beginning 20 airports, 24 runways FAA is encouraging sponsors fund projects to get from LPV survey to published approaches List of twenty items an airport will need to do May be a project booster as are RSAT projects

10 Program Initiatives APMS FY 2012 - $4.6m STB action will increase to $7.9m JPA’s are changed to require 10% share up front Bids are on the street for first phase Design is in progress on second phase The cycle has been established to keep design ongoing during all construction

11 ADOT Statewide Studies Aviation Economic Impact Study –Pollack Co started January 2012 –What did the 2003 study say? –What did the Military study say? –Broader inclusion of airport impacts –Show work being done with Commerce –Better products –Tools to update between major efforts

12 ADOT Statewide Studies Land Use Study, 2013 –Early stages of Scope development –Looking to generate something more useful, like formal inclusion of airport protection needs in local General Plan –Guidelines are included of course State Airports System Plan Update, 2014 –Revisit standards of inclusion of airports into the state System, currently 83 –Look at FAA new ASSET Roles definitions –Examine changes from the 2003 survey –New issues or topics?
