18. Rex Ray Design Rex Ray’s art consists of a variety of shape, colour and texture. Ray develops shapes in a variety of sizes, alters direction, and layers his shapes to create vibrant pieces of art.

19. What Can You See? -Repetition of shape (sometimes alterations in size) -Layering of shapes -Bright or light colours against neutral backgrounds- Contrast. -Variety of pattern -Balancing of the shapes and the entire print as a whole -Colour schemes (complimentary, analagous, etc.)- Harmony

20. Assignment Students will create their own multimedia collage. Art 10’s will focus their collage on a certain theme. (love, hate, light, dark, day, night, winter, summer, etc.) Art 20’s will focus their collage on a certain issue. (deforestation, pollution, warfare, etc.)

Minimum Requirements painted background for the collage (no white) must have 3 multimedia additions (magazine cut outs, drawings, newspaper, pictures, text) collage must have evidence of 6 different layers Incorporate the 7 elements of art (Line, shape, colour, value, form, texture, space.) Incorporate at least 3 design principles (harmony, unity, contrast, dominance, repetition, gradation, balance) One paragraph write-up explaining their theme / issue.
