3. 33 The mission of the IBOE is to serve as a dynamic worldwide consortium of Nazarene universities, colleges and seminaries to facilitate the mission of the Church of the Nazarene in making Christlike disciples and shaping leaders for local service and global impact.

4. 4 The IBOE, collaboratively and collectively, insures that well trained, highly qualified, culturally sensitive, spiritually mature, and Spirit-filled Christians depart from our schools as Christian servant leaders to serve our churches nurtured in the best of the Wesleyan holiness theological tradition. 5. Nazarene educational institutions around the world are training preachers, teachers, evangelists, nurses, and vocational and lay leaders. This education is essential to the success of evangelistic efforts. Please remember the students, faculty, and their staff in your prayers.

6. The Global System of Nazarene Higher Education 6 Recently Dr. Fairbanks shared a brief overview of the global system of Nazarene higher education. The audience appeared surprised at the scope of institutions served by the Church of the Nazarene.

Since he had been on the campuses of two of these schools-Nazarene College of Nursing in Washim, India and the Nazarene Seminary in Haiti in August and September, he not only shared some photos of these two institutions but also the International Board of Education categories in which each of the 54 Church of the Nazarene college, university or seminary is located. 7

31. A stronger global system of Nazarene education is emerging as a strategic network of Nazarene institutions worldwide under the umbrella of the International Board of Education.
