1. CARNIVAL FESTIVAL
In italy we have a very funny festival in february, something like halloween, but kids and adults dress up in funny ways.

2. Carnival is an old religion feast before lent and in latin it means without meat, after that period people didn’t eat meat

3. In every region we have old masks
Arlecchino, Meneghino and Brighella
in Lombardia
Capitan Spaventa
in Liguria
Pantalone and Colombina
In Veneto

4. Gianduia and Giacometta
in Piemonte
Pulcinella
in Campania
Beppe Nappa in Sicilia
Stenterello
in Toscana

5. Kids and adults dress up in traditional masks or like prince or princess, rich lord and lady or fairy and witch. They parade through the village or the town throwing confetti( round small pieces of multicolour paper ) and « Streaming stars »

6. In many towns and villages people prepare floats, special wagon with enormous masks made of « papier mÂchÉ »

This battle commemorates the rebellion of the people against the feudal lord

So they obtained the freedom!!!
