Our History Ukulele Kids began in 2010 as a pilot project in a number of Toronto schools. The immediate success of the program led to a huge increase in the number of schools and participants since its inception. With an established base of well over 2500 students, Ukulele Kids and Ukulele Big Kids are expanding across Canada and the United States

CHORD-inator details! CHORD-inator details! Fees: –Start up kit: There is a one time start up fee of $3000.00US that covers the cost of everything you will need to get started. –You will receive 100 ukuleles, 100 songbooks and 1000 school flyers in your start up kit. –Ukulele Kids charges 25% royalty on gross revenues. Your selected territory: –Protected area of 80 - 100 elementary schools as well as any community centers, churches, businesses etc. within the geographical area. Detailed curriculum: –Ukulele Kids will provide your teachers with a sequential curriculum to ensure the quality and consistency of the program. Access to a dedicated team: –You will have direct access to head office and the decision makers. As well, all documentation needed to run your business is provided for you online for ease of access.

FAQs Why the Ukulele? The ukulele is having a huge world wide resurgence in popularity and has taken over the recorder as the instrument of choice in elementary schools. Manufactures can’t keep up with demand and stores can’t keep them on their shelves. It’s easy to learn, fun, portable and inexpensive. All factors that are making it a huge success in the schools.

Do I need a musical background to be a CHORD-inator? Not at all! The large majority of our CHORD-inators have no music training or background whatsoever. We are looking for sales/marketing-oriented individuals who, while turning a viable profit, are looking to involve themselves in a business that benefits children and their community. Is my territory protected? Yes. You own the exclusive rights to operate in your territory. No other Ukulele Kids CHORD-inator is permitted to operate within your area.

Do I teach the classes myself? You can if you’d like. However, your real role is to market and manage the business. We encourage our CHORD-inators to hire staff to teach the program. The abundance of lunch and after school programs, in-school workshops, birthday parties, special events, summer camps, businesses, community centers, churches, etc. ensure CHORD-inators enough business to keep them busy all year long.
