2. Flashback… Factors: numbers you can multiply together to get products
Ex.1: 1,2,3,4,6,12 are factors of 12
Common factor- a factor that is shared by 2 or more numbers
Ex.2: 15 and 18

3. GREATEST Common Factor- GCF- the largest of the common factors 2 Methods: 1. List all the factors 2. Use prime factorization- (factor trees) Prime Numbers: can be divided evenly only by 1 and itself

4. Example 1: List all factors
Find the GCF of 16 and 24 Factors of 16: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 Factors of 24: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24 The GCF of 16 and 24 is 8.

The GCF of 12, 24, and 32 is 4.

6. Hunter, Nick, Olivia, and Kathryn have 14 Laffy Taffies and 21 lollipops. They want to make candy bags with the same number of each type of candy in each bag. What is the greatest number of bags they can make?
