4. They begin to arrive The line was out the door and down the block It was a cold Nov. 15 evening thus we had to move them indoors… plan B

5. Re-form the line in-doors We had to change our plans slightly as over 300 attendees indicated we would run out of food, handouts, prizes, etc… Thus “per household was announced for materials and prizes.

6. We made sure we had enough pizza…

7. Involvement as they enter At first, time to talk 300+ attendees getting & giving info

8. On to the Little Theater, Presentations Each Sub- committee offered an overview, talked about 1 st 72 hours, asked for input and to come & chat in the cafeteria over dessert following the presentation, plus door prizes…

9. Chat time in the cafeteria Lines were long waiting to get to the tables to chat and receive parts of their emergency kit Dessert and more pizza helped, people stayed and waiting to chat with DES and committee members

10. Community Chatter… we will be ready  Attendees enjoyed the presentations, continued the discussion on “Being Ready” over dessert

11. Committee takes time to visit Committee members mix & mingle before everyone leaves. Lots of “Thanks”
