Born and Death Edward was born on July 4 th 1841 Edward was born in Methuen Massachusetts He died on August 6 th 1920 (age 79)

Family In 1844 when Edward was only 3 his father, sister and baby brother all died His parents were Jesse and Sarah Littlefield Searles

Early Life Education As a result of his family’s death it became necessery that Edward and his older brother Andrew quit school at the age of 12 to go work in Methuen to raise money for his Mom
