Based on agreement between NZTA , Tainui Group Holdings Ltd & Hamilton City
Southern Ramps at Morrinsville Road provide:
Relief for Southern Interchange
Full connectivity at SH/SH junction
Current VAC approval of split diamond subject to:
confirmation that the Ruakura Estate connection is consistent with regional planning strategies
a MPFA in place before submission of NoR
The MPFA to “include consideration of the developer/HCC paying for additional costs of development and construction over and above what NZTA would have paid for if Ruakura wasn’t going ahead”.
(The additional costs need to include allowance for the ongoing maintenance of the parallel ramps.)
Timing:
Ruakura Road needs to be relocated before construction can commence on the bridge over Ryburn Rd and ECMT.
The rail siding subway needs to be in place before the siding can be completed.
