Power from the sun! By: Erica Anton & Mason Wise
2
Solar energy is energy we get from the sun Solar Energy it is radiant energy emitted by the sun
3
Renewable Solar energy is everywhere as long as the sun is up or behind the moon (it matters about the kind of weather).
4
Solar energy is located in the sun 2 ways to recover solar energy is with solar panels/solar farms and solar satellites.
5
A solar panel takes the sun’s energy A box with a heat trapping, dark bottom, and a glass top captures the sun’s light to make energy.
6
All living things use solar energy. It is easy to store and it is good for the environment.
7
It could cause less pollution Plants and animals must adapt to “harsh” solar farms (it could disrupt many different ecosystems).
8
Advantages *Sun’s energy is free to use *The process is pollution free *Can be used in a wide variety of locations, wherever there is sun. Disadvantages *The cost of the solar panels are expensive. *Only works when the sun is shining
9
If we use solar energy/electricity, it could cause less pollution, because you would be using natural resources/sunlight.
