2. Why I Chose my Topic? I am a very big college sports fan. I wanted to get behind the reasons and causes for the recent pay-to-play scandals. It is a topic that I am both familiar with, but want to explore in great depth

3. Why I Chose my Product? I wanted to learn to create a website, and publish my ideas and opinions I wanted my own platform to express myself and provide information to others. I thought it would be a good, fun challenge.

4. Pay-to-Play Did you know a popular team with dedicated athletes, can generate as much as $70,000,000 for their school? The NCAA rules prevent a student athlete from seeing any of the money.

Most student athletes already receive numerous benefits for just being apart of the universities sports program. Athletes are ineligible if they have ever taken any payment for playing that sport. Athletes cannot promote items or be a spokes person.

6. Research Facts Crime among student athletes would be decreased if had a stipend of money. Athletes are not allowed to accept any benefits from a sports agent. High school athletes can only make expense paid trips to five colleges, and can only visit one game for free while visiting.

7. Research-Product relationship I used my research as a basis to start my website. I compiled my facts and research throughout my website to create an educational website. I wrote opinions and editorials about what’s happening in the college football world. My mentor gave me advice on which stories and players were most relevant. I gained skills useful for journalists, web designers, editors, and sports analysts

9. Learning Stretch Did not know how to create or design a website until this project. My time management skills drastically improved once I knew I had to plan better. I can now research much better for anything I need to in the future.

13. Self Reflection I learned that trying new things is for the best, creating a website turned out to be a big accomplishment for me. My time management skills improved throughout my whole project. I am a lot more confident in my ability to research and write. I will be able to manage my time better, create a website, research and write better in my future if I need too.
