Improve P2 Plan Quality Improve guidance on how to conduct an inventory of hazardous substances Create automated audits for P2 plans so that most errors are caught before review begins

Lean Manufacturing and Environment Pilot project funded by EPA PPG grant and BW Pilot Projects Partnership with Washington Manufacturing Services (WMS) ECY dovetails environment into WMS’ Lean

Lean Manufacturing and Environment Objectives Explore and document how environmental considerations (e.g., risk & waste) add value to Lean Mfg. efforts Reduce environmental impacts and costs Promote design of a product / process to reduce toxics Explore collaboration between Ecology and WMS

Lean & E Pilot Projects Located in 3 different regions Two post-pilot workshops Ross & Assoc. and PPRC are documenting results
