2  Lincoln and his family were attending a play at Ford’s Theater the night of the assassination.

3  He was a strong believer in slavery and white supremacy.  He was born and raised in Maryland and later became a super famous actor.

4  Booth had slipped into the entryway into the president’s box when the guard left to get a better view of the play.  Booth shot Lincoln six inches from his head and the bullet hit his head right behind the left ear and tore through his brain.

5  Lincoln died at 7:22 the next morning. Some of the nation lined up along the tracks to say their good-byes.  Lincoln was buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
