OK, so what are the Humanities? The Humanities are the branches of learning concerned with human attributes and qualities and are regarded as having primarily a cultural character. They are concerned with expression and aesthetic value. Those areas of study that explore humans and their relationship to the world around them. Those academic disciplines which study people -- their ideas, their history, their literature, their artifacts, and their values.
