EBSCO Publishing Mission & Objectives As the world’s most prolific aggregator of journals, EBSCO Publishing’s main objective is to balance the needs of publishers with the needs of its customers (libraries) The mission of the full-text database model is to complement university journal collections –The value of a full-text database is not found in what it can replace in the library’s existing collection –Instead, the value is found in what the full-text database can do to expand access for the library, providing access to journals previously unavailable to researchers at that institution EBSCO Publishing has established itself as the only full-text database vendor with whom most leading publishers will work and a major objective is to continue to protect and expand that position
