Title of the presentation | Date |‹#› SME Development National Center of Armenia “Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center” Fund (SME DNC of Armenia) was established by the decree of the Government of Armenia in 2002. SME DNC of Armenia is the first national structure in Armenia called to implement state support to small and medium entrepreneurship (SME) and programs directed to development of the sector, as well as to ensure a dialogue between small and medium enterprises, government and other structures. The Board of Trustees is the supreme governing body of the SME DNC of Armenia, the members of which represent several government structures and NGOs advocating the interests of SMEs. The Board is headed by the Minister of Economy.

Taking into consideration the interest of Italian businesses, the visit of Italian companies to Armenia have been organized in September 2012.

The Partnership Agreement between Italian “Kos Genetics” company and Armenian “Preventive cardiology center” has been signed in December 2010. The visit of Spanish company to Armenia (which is interested in establishment of company in Armenia) has been organized within the framework of cooperation with Chamber of commerce and Industry of Toledo. Within the cooperation framework with “Business Innovation Centre of Trento”, the SME DNC of Armenia has supported the Armenian IT company to find correspondent partner. As a result the Partnership Agreement between Italian “Editel” and Armenian “E-works” IT companies has been signed in December 2010.

Working with an Armenian partner it found through the Enterprise Europe Network, the micro-company is taking its business to the next level. Editel company, which is located in Pieve di Bono, provides the corporative customers of different spheres, including the tourism, for which the Russia is increasing market. In order to find business partner, the Editel company has contacted to Enterprise Europe Network, the 3000 experts from 50 countries of which are offering 1 common package support to SMEs. The business and innovation agency has been hosted by the company’s local branch. The Network business consultant Francesca Azzolini ha added the profile of Editel company in the business database of EEN. “We can help even the micro SMEs, which has aspire to internationalization” she said. Many kilometers away, Network expert Ms. Ani Khandamiryan, who works in SME DNC of Armenia, has inserted the profile of “E-works” Armenian company, which is specialized in web design and multimedia for Russian, Sweden and American companies. “Armenia is in primary line of research, development and high technology”, the owner of Editel Pierluigi Ghizzi said. We can use the know-how and enlarge our offer to the direction we thought impossible due to the Network”. As by the commercial director of E-Works company Mr. Andranik Martirosyan, “This cooperation will help the company to keep the European market”.
