7 How to Read Your Transcript

8  New policy: Students are given a week to look through the Course Catalog and ask questions of parents, teachers, and counselors before making course decisions. Allocation decisions for the following year are based upon student requests.  Please understand that you will not be able to make changes to your schedule once this school year ends, unless it is a level change due to grades or summer school attendance.

Are you on PACE (on track for A-G)?  If you have any “D’s” you must make a plan with your counselor to repeat the course.  Enroll in rigorous classes (Honors, AP)  Senioritis will hurt you!!!!  Start exploring colleges campuses and careers  Geography/Admissability  UCSD, SDSU, USD www.csumentor.edu www.californiacolleges.edu

26  Independent colleges and scholarships  Input from both students and parents  Forms can be picked up in the counseling office  Must give teachers / counselors at least 2 weeks notice.

27  Process required if you wish to participate in Division I or II Athletics in college  Begin process spring of junior year  No actual deadline but if you are not “cleared” through this process you cannot begin practice  If you plan to play sports in college you must inform your counselor, your coach and the Athletic Director Scott Jones. http://eligibilitycenter.org
