Business of Catamaran: Is provider of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services and healthcare information technology (HCIT) solutions to the healthcare benefit management industry The Company’s product offerings and solutions combine a range of applications and PBM services designed to assist its customers in reducing the cost and managing the complexity of their prescription drug programs. The Company’s customers include organizations in the pharmaceutical supply chain, such as pharmacy benefit managers, managed care organizations, self-insured employer groups, unions, third party health care plan administrators, and state and federal government entities. Use and distribution limited solely to authorized personnel. © 2014 Cigna Originally founded as Systems Xcellence in Ontario Canada in 1993 Went public in 1995 on TSX exchange in 2001, it acquired ComCoTec, an Illinois-based software business Went on Nasdaq in 2006 and moved the headquarters to Chicago. Changed name to SXC Health Solution in 2007 Acquired National Medical healthcard Systems and Zynchors in 2008 which doubled the size of the company. SXC purchased private company MedfusionRx, Inc on December 2, 2010 for $100 million. Reasons for the acquisition include an interest in strengthening SXC's position in the specialty pharmacy market and improving cost cutting capabilities in the management of complex conditions and improving supportive care. In 2012, SXC agreed to buy rival Catalyst Health Solutions Inc. in a roughly $4.14 billion cash-and-stock deal. Shortly thereafter, SXC Health Solutions Corp. renamed the company, Catamaran Corp.

Thierer, 54, –Effective March 9, 2011, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company. –President and Chief Operating Officer of the Company from September 2006 through June 2008 –President and CEO of the Company from June 30, 2008 through March 8, 2011. –President of Physicians Interactive, a former division of Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. 2003 to 2006. –CaremarkRx, now CVS/Caremark helping to build Caremark into a pharmacy benefits manager and specialty pharmacy company. From 1993 to 2003. Under his leadership: he sought to transform SXC from a pure technology player to an industry-leading full-service provider. When Mr. Thierer joined SXC, revenues were $50 million, EBITDA was $12 million annually and the company market capitalization was $160 million. 8 F O R I N T E R N A L U S E O N L Y IMPACT TO 5 DRIVERS People- the expansion of the contract from Healthspring which impacts their claim processing, and also impacts all claim processing organizations in Cigna as well as the Home Delivery organization which will cease mail delivery of non specialty products. Assets- it impacts our Horsham and Sioux Falls sites which are mail order fulfillment sites, our claim systems, and our PBM processes. Cash- this is to change the cash flow due to the shift of fulfillment to Catamaran –Project cost is 250 million dollars Profit- drives mail order and other benefit expenses downwards.
