13 Overvie w Overvie w  Candela can be configured in two ways:  First configuration is called Candela Standard configuration and is designed for managing the retail operations at grocery stores, pharmacy stores, gift stores, and similar types of businesses.  Second configuration is called Candela Assortment configuration and is designed for retail management in apparel and footwear industry. This configuration has extensive support for assortments and management of product sizes and colors. All entries and reports are available in easy to use matrix of products and sizes. 15 Product Definition with multiple barcodes  Existing barcodes can be used along with Candela generated barcodes  One Item can have more than one barcodes.  One product can have different barcodes for different packaging  Product Assemblies can be created. Different items with specified quantities can be defined as part of assemblies. These assemblies have a different barcode  Product barcodes can contain a Batch Number or Vendor Code. This helps in tracking products on the basis of Batch or Supplier

16 Inventory Pricing  Retail Price is controlled by Administrator / Head office user  Retail price may be different for different Customer Groups  In case of retail chain, the retail price may be different for different shops  Utilities for Bulk Price Updates  History of Retail Price is maintained.  Weighted Average Cost price is managed

17 Discounts & Promotions  Discounts can be configured for selected products & shops  Discounts can be configured for selected days of the week and selected time of day  Discount are of different types like Percentage, Flat price, Flat discount, Buy X get Y free, Value discount etc.  Discounts may be configured for selected customers Group  Discounts can also be given by the cashier at the time of invoice

20 Daily Accounts Closing & Cash reconciliation  Cash reconciliation is done daily at close of business for each POS.  Reconcile cash sales, daily expenses, customer receipts, and vendor payments  Multiple shifts can be managed with record of every shift separately  After accounts closing, shop staff cannot change the accounting entries

21 Goods & Services Tax / Value Added Tax  Candela provide complete mechanism to handle taxation  Input tax are applied at the time of GRN (receipt of goods). Input tax is calculated based on tax configured against products  Output tax is applied based on tax configured on each product.  Tax may be applied on the basis of flat percentage for all products  In Candela the product price (displayed on Tag) may include GST or GST may additionally be added to price  Final Tax Register (Output – Input) is also available for tax compliance

22 Physical Inventory & Stock Takes  Perform physical inventory checks manually or through bar code reader.  Carryout physical audit of every “Rack” or “Cabinet” separately  Administrator can reverse implementation of physical audits  Data collector can be used for physical audits  Physical audits can be carried out during the day along with sales and returns
