Present Continuous tense V.S Past Tense
You are swimming in the swimming pool now. Present Continuous Tense You swam in the swimming pool yesterday. Past Tense You ran yesterday. You are running now.

Present continuous tense
This tense has two words. be -ing Subject Verb (be) Main Verb (+ing) I am / ‘m drawing a picture. He She It is / ‘s sleeping in the room. You We They are / ‘re watching a film.

Past Tense This tense has only one word.
We need to change the verb into past tense. For examples: walk walked play played go went eat ate

Simple Past Tense Hint words: yesterday last night last Sunday
last year ago

e.g. Peter will play badminton tomorrow.
Future tense We use the future tense to talk about the future. e.g. Peter will play badminton tomorrow. April 7 6 Today Tomorrow 5 Yesterday

Future tense The future tense has two words. e.g. Charlie will play football next week. I will play the piano tomorrow. We do not change the verb after will. e.g. will play will plays
