2. Rational/Objective Rational The rational behind this inquiry is to find a genre of books that would engage struggling readers, mainly boys. Boys are not interested in most literature and they are falling behind in reading. Graphic Novels provides visuals that most students need to comprehend the text. Objectives To motivate reluctant readers, mainly boys. 1) To improve reading development among struggling readers. 1) To find diverse reading materials that would interest male readers across all content areas.
