Manufacturer ensures material is suitable for “particular” application and meets ESRs for material If specific quantitative requirements not met, justification required (equivalent overall level of safety?) Decisions made concerning one material do not have to repeated Materials PMAs Any material may be used providing: 4

Cat II, III, IV - specific product control - e.g. (EN 10204 - 3.1) - {prepared by material manufacturer} Materials Certification 5
