3 Beachcomber-2011 Code-Sprint Beachcomber is a bearer-agnostic framework developed for the Internet of Things phenomenon, which allows devices to become a part of the Internet. 5 Internet of Things The Internet of Things is the phenomenon of more and more things being connected to the internet. The things are tracked, analysed, mapped, and even controlled. It is a blend of interent technologies and thing technologies such as bar codes, RFID tags, and QR codes.

6 Tree and Building project To develop an application to link the trees and the buildings in around the CSIR campus to the internet. The application allows the user with a smart phone equipped with the necessary QR reader software to zap the QR code attached on the object and get information about the object almost instantly.
