5 Diavik is completely dependent on diesel for all site power needs. Hybrid power options sought to reduce cost and decrease GHG emissions. Why Wind Power?

6 Reduced power generation costs. ~ $30 million investment with 8 year payback. ~ 10% reduction in diesel power generation. > 4 million litres reduction in diesel usage per year. Equates to around 100 truckloads per year. 12,000 tonnes reduction in CO2 emissions per year. 6% overall reduction in GHG emissions. What will Wind Power deliver?
