Venn Diagram of Earth & Mars Earth Thick atmosphere Few craters Inhabited Different temputre larger Has water A moon Strong magnetic field Mars Thin atmosphere Weak Magnetic field Not inhabited Not that hot but very cold Smaller Does not have water Has two moons seasons Ice caps Made of rock

Facts: Welcome to our Martian community. We’ve called it The Red Sector. Here is some facts about our Sector. Our sector is located a couple of miles away from the Ice caps. We have claimed this sector because it would have been a little easier to get water from the Ice caps. Even though it would be colder, we’ve come prepared.

Facts Part 2 Mars is the second brightest planet in our solar system. Also, Mars has lots of iron underneath the crust. So if we have to move away from the ice caps for some reason we will make large pipes for the water from the melted ice to run through if it’s useable.

Resource (Greenhouse) The Resource expert (Alisa) has made a design of the greenhouse. Below

About the Greenhouse The bottom left is where the toxic air of Mars is sucked in, then cleansed by chemically advanced air filters. After that, the clean air is blown out to the plants. How do the plants get water? Good question! There are solar panels on the top of the greenhouse. Connected to the panels is a satellite that locates light and sends it through cables to power the light bulb below. Over time, the light collects water into fog clouds and the fog rains down mist. When the crops are ready to harvest astronauts come in and pick them. That’s how we’ll grow food on MARS.

LOCATION Since the temperature on Mars at its highest in summer is only about 80 degrees F, we could melt the ice caps( with help from us ) and if it works, then we could have an ocean on Mars of what ever the ice caps are made of. AND with the gravitational pull from Mars’s two moons, the waves would be very powerful.

Location & Resource COMBINE!! The location and resource scouts have been doing some research (and work) on a very special project. Currently, we are installing wells and huge pipes for our citizens so water can flow into their houses. How are we doing this? With unique robots that drill into the ground, bringing water to the surface, thus creating rivers.

Environment Since Mars has a lighter gravitational pull than Earth, the human’s houses will be built out of the heaviest materials known to man. Such as asteroid, brick, stone and cement. In case of avalanches we are training scouts to find the remaining magnetic field and bring back the remains to protect the citizens. We also understand that Mars has very strong winds that’s another reason the houses are made out of heavy materials.

Environment Homes We understand that the environment is very dangerous on Mars, so we have decided to make environment friendly homes for our citizens while protecting them at the same time. They are located underground to avoid meteor strikes. The houses are in bunches to maintain body heat since it's so cold down there!

Closing Now in conclusion all citizens of Earth you are now welcome to THE RED SECTOR!!!! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING Good bye
