Brevard Virtual Secondary School Acceleration Option Dual Enrollment at Brevard Community College 4 College credit earned when course is passed Choose carefully!!  Courses will be on the students’ official high school AND college transcript, pass or fail.  Grade forgiveness is limited. BCC College Credits Readily accepted at all Florida Universities May be accepted as elective rather than requirement Not necessarily accepted out-of-State

5. Brevard Virtual Secondary School Acceleration Option Brevard County Schools pay for all tuition and required textbooks!!! Family is responsible for providing registration documentation of BCC classes each term to the BVSS School office in Viera.. Family is responsible for picking-up and returning books to Viera offices of BVSS every semester. Family is responsible for the cost of one-time use consumable items such as electronic access codes or workbooks. 5

Brevard Virtual Secondary School Acceleration Option Entry Tests SAT www.collegeboard.comwww.collegeboard.com ACT www.act.orgwww.act.org PERT Postsecondary Education Readiness Test You must present a Photo ID to take test Computer based test, estimated time: 2 ½ hours Free practice test on-line Call 632-1111: say you are Dual Enrollment and ask to make an appointment for testing at your nearest campus. Testing allowed only 1 time per year. Take the opportunity seriously! 8

Students must declare interest and discuss with counselor before Junior Year to meet all requirements. Full-time college schedule (all year or one semester). Student remains high school student and must meet all Brevard Public School requirements through graduation. AA Degree requirements will be planned with BCC Advisor
