4. Notes:  How does it affect your body ?  It damages your motor nuerons the brain and spinal cord.  This cause your motor nuerons in the brain to shrink and disspear.  The nervous system is most affected by lou geghrigs diease.the musclucar system is also affected by lou geghrig diease.

5. Treatment /cost  There is no treatment for asl but the medicine used is called riluzole it slows the diease progression and prolongs life.  The therapy cost about 1700$ a week.
