MICRO-ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME (MEDEP) Sub Heading IMPLEMENTED SINCE 1998 WITH OBJECTIVE OF POVERTY REDUCTION REPLICATED THIS MODEL INTO 50 DISTRICTS BY F.Y. 2013/14 EXPANDS INTO A NATION WIDE PROGRAM ACROSS ALL 75 DISTRICTS (2013-18) GOVT TARGET TO CREATE 73,000 NEW MICRO ENTREPRENEURS

ACHIEVEMENT FROM MEDEP Sub Heading OVER THE LAST 15 YEARS MEDEP HAS CREATED OVER 66,OOO MICRO-ENTREPRENEURS MEDEP ENTREPRENEURS HAVE PRODUCED GOODS & SERVICES WORTH RS. 9.5 BILLION WITH A PROFIT OF RS. 6.9 BILLION HELPED ESTABLISH 221 FUNCTIONAL MICRO ENTREPRENEURS’ CO-OPERATIVE SUPPORTED TO CREATE ENTREPRENEUR WITH A FOCUS ON WOMEN & SOCIALLY EXCLUDED GROUPS SUPPORTED GOVERNMENT OF NEPAL TO CREATE ENVIRONMENT FOR MICRO ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT IN NEPAL
