How long does it take Mars to rotate and orbit the sun? Venus orbits closer to the sun than the Earth, so it takes Venus less time to orbit the sun. It take Venus 225 days to orbit the sun and 243 days for Venus to make a rotation. Could people create a civilization on Venus? You may be able to create air on Venus. It is known that Venus has different bearable temperatures. As destructive as the surface temperature of Venus is, just as troubling is the pressure you would feel standing on the surface. The weight of the atmosphere is 90 times greater than that on earth it will feel like the same pressure we would feel if submerged under 3,000 feet of water. Ultimately, Venus appears as a visual beauty in the night sky, but it will have to be admired form afar. As the heat and pressure that characterize the surface of the planet make it unfit for life.

How have people explored or gotten information about Mars? There have been several robot probe missions to Venus, including flyby and landing missions; by both NASA and the former Soviet Union. However so far no people have gone to Venus.

Features of Venus & Interesting Facts Facts about Planet Venus * Diameter: 12,100 km. It is about 1040km smaller in diameter than Earth * Temperature: Venus's surface temperature can get close to 900° F (482° C), hot enough to melt lead. This makes Venus the hottest place in the solar system after the Sun. * Distance from Sun: The second planet from our star has an average distance from the Sun of 67 million miles * Surface: A rocky, dusty, waterless expanse of mountains, canyons, and plains, with a 200-mile river of hardened lava Interesting Facts about Planet Venus * Because Venus is so close to the Earth, it appears as the brightest planet in the night sky. * Venus atmosphere is made up mostly of carbon dioxide * Venus has mountains that are higher than Earth * The planet rotates from East to West. The only other planet that does this is Uranus. * Venus is the Earth’s twin
