Mitigating Risk - The Hierarchy of Controls Elimination / Substitution Do not perform the activity Find a less hazardous way of doing the work. Engineering Controls Ventilated enclosures, physical barriers, light curtains, guards. etc. Administrative Controls Establish procedures, Post warning signs, Provide training.
