Explaining my Excel Document By Sebastian Sergent

IF Statement This is an “IF and” statement and the purpose of this formula was to see if students would receive a discount. |The formula shows that if they are year 1a’s and have receives more than 200 points then they receive a 5 pound discount.

Nested If Statement This statement is based on net points, if they receive less than 50 points they get nothing, if its between 50-100 they receive a reward and over 100 a trip.

Taking Away and relative Cell Reference To calculate the net points I had to take away the total behaviour points from the achievement points Also as you can see I used a relative cell reference. The example shows as I copied the formula down using the fill handle it calculatd using the rows below

VLOOKUP Price I used the VLOOKUP to calculate the cost of the trips on my maintanle using the reward table as the VLOOKUP reference

Named Ranges I named these two tables tutor and trips hence these are my named ranges.

Count IF and Absolute Cell referencing I have used Count IF to refer to the main table and count how many trips and rewards students attended I used absolute cell referencing in this count if formula to ensure it refers as to the same table cells

Sum if I used a Sum If to refer to the main table and calculate the total points gathered by each house. The tables on the right were the data columns used

Evidence of a function I used the auto sum function to calculate the total positive and behaviour points.

Protection As you can see I have protected this spreadsheet and so cannot be amended without a password.
