5 King Parent Night Cohort Model of Support Each incoming 6 th grade is assigned a vice principal, counselor, and two teacher specialists that stay with the class through 8 th grade. 6 th Grade The students stay together as a class. They have one teacher for math/science core and a different teacher for humanities core. They move as a class from one teacher to the other teacher.
