3 Coughlin High School Physical Education 1 time per week –AM, Dressed at 8:00 am –8 th period Class is over at 3:15 –9 th grade 2 times per week –Regular school day

4 Coughlin High School Physical Edcuation Mandatory- Pennsylvania State laws states you must pass 4 years of Physical Education to graduate High School.

5 Coughlin High School Physical Education Mandatory- Pennsylvania State laws states you must pass 4 years of Physical Education to graduate High School. You must pass two subjects every year to graduate –English –Physical Education !!!!!!!!

6 Grading for 1 x week Dress- Students must dress for class. No “NP’s” are allowed per quarter in classes that meet once per week. Every “NP” must be made up. 1 “NP” fails you for a quarter. 2 “NP” fails you for the semester. 3 “NP” fails you for the year. Student's must actively participate in 70% of the classes. This includes absences. Parental excuse are allowed once per quarter.

8 Grading Effort in class- This class is an active participation. Attendance- All students must participate in 70% of the classes. (Including absences) Tardiness- 3 late’s = “1 NP” Tests- Written and Practical Sportsmanship Doctors notes must be presented stating why you are not participating and the length of time you are excused. Alternative work will be assigned.

47 Make up Physical Education At the end of the quarter two make up classes will be offered. The make up classes are usually of the last Friday of the quarter during the Am (8:00 dressed) and 8 th period. In the 4 th quarter multiple make up days will be offered. Check with your teacher for dates.
