The students protested because they wanted to change the school’s lunch menu. (verb) 2. Martin Luther King held a protest to eliminate discrimination in our country. 3. Definition: the act of separating Examples: Joe felt segregated when he went to the new school; he did not know a single person. Racial segregation, though now against the law, was once one of the most horrible practices in the United States.
