2 The Student Employment Center is beneficial to students in many ways including: helping students put together resumes, prepare for interviews as well as applying for jobs! The Student Employment Center provides many services including workshops, schedules and job listings.

3 Do you need help with your classes? SLCC’s Learning Center provides FREE tutorial services to students as well as many other services! You can get help with a few questions here and there on assignments for classes or you can sign up to have a one-to-one meeting twice a week with a tutor for more in depth help. 4 The Writing Center at SLCC is a great resource for students who need help with College Writing Projects. This center helps students feel comfortable with their writing, as well as be able to utilize their writing skills in all aspects of their daily lives!

5  Provides students who have a disability (medical, psychological, learning, etc.) with reasonable accommodations through the ADA.  The DRC will obtain information regarding the disability of the student, to determine eligibility.  The DRC is located at the Taylorsville Redwood Campus: 4600 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84123 Phone: 801-957-4659

6 Services available at the  Taylorsville Campus  Jordan Campus  South City Campus Times vary at each location. Provides services to any SLCC student for just a co-pay. Each semester every student is allowed one free massage. There are 5 different massages to choose from. This center offers services including Physicals, Flu-Shots, Birth Control, and even Well Women Exams.

7  Advisors are available to assist students with mapping out and planning courses for graduation.  It is recommended that all students meet regularly with an academic advisor to check course progression, general guidance, and direction of major.  Advisors can provide assistance with scheduling of semesters, as well as an educational plan per major.  Make an appointment today to organize your future.

8 What is Financial Aid? The Financial Aid Office supplies information on where you can find, apply for, and manage work study employment. Information also includes: need based awards, scholarships, and student loans. Locations: Redwood Campus M-F 8:00a.m. - 4:15p.m. South City Campus Miller Campus Jordan Campus

9 The Activities and Clubs Center manages events and consistently creates opportunities for students to get involved. Upcoming Events – Gloriana Concert on November 14, 2012 Clubs – There are many clubs that you can join with other students that share similar interests. SLCC Cycling American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Psychology Club Chess Club Culinary Arts and Pastry Club Enviro Club

10 Database: http://libweb.slcc.edu/ You can also get further math tutoring downstairs in the learning emporium where a tutor is always available! Also, if you need help setting up an ePortfolio, the library holds regular sessions just for this! The Library is not only a great place to read a book in silence, but it also offers students a large database where students can gather sources. You may also use the same database to read more in depth or view different points on the same issue.

11 The Student Center can help us in many ways. Below are three of the services found inside the Student Center. Courtesy Desk If you have any questions on where things can be found on campus you can go to the courtesy desk and receive directions. Food court If you want to pick up a snack on campus, you can visit the food court found in the student center. They have several selections! Bookstore Nearly all the supplies you need can be found at the college bookstore. They sell everything from chapstick to laptops.

12 The Thayne Center assists you with looking for opportunities to volunteer to promote positive change in our community Service Learning Projects – Allows you to volunteer with nonprofit organizations to address community identified needs. Alternative Spring Break -The Thayne Center provides the opportunity for students to immerse themselves in an intensive volunteer and travel experience.
