Introduction A solid four year, college prep math program is available for all students. All students are required to take three years of math, but encouraged to take four years of math. Courses are taught on levels reflecting the differences in ability and learning rate of students. Ninth grade students are placed in track levels based on a selection formula which includes seventh and eight grade marks and standardized test scores.

Recommendation of Algebra 1 teacher as well as an outstanding proficiency on an Algebra Placement test are required. Sophomore Track 1 students may have the chance to take both Geometry and Algebra 2 at the same time.

Graphing Calculator A graphing calculator is required for all mathematics courses. A TI-84 plus or TI-84 plus silver edition
