Lavalier microphone: Also known as a Lapel mic, it is a small hand-free microphone commonly used in television, theatre, or public speaking. Shotgun Microphone: A long microphone with most of the focus on the front, eliminating unnecessary background noise, keeping the sound on the primary object.
