Grace, Grace, Marvelous Grace
Ephesians 2:8-10
2
GRACE “Once Saved, Always Saved.” VS “Once Saved Always living in Doubt Plan”
3
GRACE Webster: “Unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification. A state of sanctification enjoyed through divine grace.” Strongs: “The divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life."
4
GRACE Ephesians 2:8-10: For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
5
GRACE Titus 2:11-14: For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
6
GRACE How often do you pray to God?
How much do you give in the collection? How much do you sing praises to God? How much do you sacrifice in order to spread the gospel? How often do you read the bible? How often do you encourage others? How often do you meditate on God’s word?
7
GRACE “Do this and thou shalt live.” “I once was dead but now I live – and therefor will live this new life for Christ.”
8
GRACE 2 Peter 3:17,18: You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
9
GRACE 1 Corinthians 15:10: But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
10
GRACE John 6:28,29: Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” Ephesians 2:8,9: For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
11
GRACE John 6:44: No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:64: But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. John 14:6: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
12
GRACE Romans 6:1-4: What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it? Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
13
GRACE Colossians 2:12-14: having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
14
GRACE Titus 3:3-7: For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
15
GRACE Acts 22:16: “And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.” Matthew 9:12: When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8: In flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
16
GRACE Romans 6:16-18: Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed, and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
17
GRACE If you are not a Christian today then what are you waiting for?
Respond to God’s invitation while your heart is still soft. God’s love is unconditional, but His salvation is indeed conditional! Will you believe? Will you receive the Grace of God this morning?
