She took part in a talent scout’s program in 2001 on the WB television channel. Her first band was Eden’s Crush. She joined the Pussycat Dolls girls band in 2003. Nicole is the only one in the band, who wrote lyrics. Nicole received an invitation from musicians in 2005 (Shaggy, Vittorio Grigolo and Will Smith). She lives with Lewis Hamilton, formula 1 pilot.

Before dancing, she attempted Tee-Ball, basketball and Brownies. Kimberly began dancing at the age of seven. She was fourteen when she earned a scholarship to study in New York’s Joffrey Ballet and the Boradway Dance Center. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue her dance career. She is the youngest member of the group. According to Slant Magazine, she is often recognized as the group’s best vocalist. Thornton started her solo career collaborating with rapper Jibbs on the song „Go Too Far”.
