1
What does the Bible really say about...
2
In three words, what exactly is ETERNAL LIFE?
3
TO KNOW GOD Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3)
4
Mind-blowing (1 Cor. 2:9; 2 Cor. 12:2-4) Better Than Here (Phil. 1:23; 2 Cor. 5:8) New (Rev. 21:1-2) Beautiful (Rev. 21:2, 9-12, 14-21) Eternal (Tit. 1:2; Matt 25:46; Rev. 5:13) No Curse (Rev. 22:3) No Death, Pain or Tears (Rev. 21:4) No Darkness (Jn. 3:19; Rev. 21:23, 25) No Evil (Rev. 21:27)
5
What questions do YOU have about Heaven?
6
First, some warnings... No one knows everything 100% (except God) Be careful Few clear Bible passages Loads of opinions Be gentle God’s Word -- not human speculation -- is supreme
7
What happens when we die? No one knows everything 100% (except God) Most theologians: Judgment of faith (Eph. 2:8-9, Tit. 3:5) Believers immediately in Jesus’ presence in “Intermediate Heaven” and unbelievers in “Intermediate Hell” (Lk. 23:43, 2 Cor. 5:6-8, Phil. 1:23) Final Judgment for believers determines heavenly rewards (Rom. 14:10-12, 1 Cor. 3:13-14, 2 Cor. 5:10, 2 Tim. 2:12, Rev. 2:26-28, 3:21) Unbelievers face Great White Throne Judgment (Rev. 20:11-13) Ultimate destination of believers: New Heavens & New Earth (Rev. 21) Ultimate destination of unbelievers: Hell (Rev. 20: 11-13)
8
What’s the deal with the rich man and Lazarus? Read Luke 16:19-31 What can we learn from Jesus’ words?
9
Will we eat and drink in Heaven? No one knows everything 100% (except God) Most theologians: “Yes, but for enjoyment, not for sustenance.” Read Matt 26:29 What can we learn from Paul’s words?
10
Will we recognize each other in Heaven? No one knows everything 100% (except God) Most theologians: “Yes” Read Matt. 17:3-4
11
What’s the deal with the Millennium? Read Rev. 20:1-8 Postmillennial: Christ’s Kingdom is spreading throughout the world and God’s justice will prevail across the Earth before Jesus’ return. Premillennial: Literal 1000-year reign which will start immediately upon Jesus’ return when he wins the Battle of Armageddon. Redeemed Jews will govern the world with Jesus. The Millennium will end with a final rebellion and the old Earth will be transformed into the New Earth. Dispensational Premillennial: Rapture occurs prior to Tribulation and both occur prior to Jesus’ final return to Earth. Historic Premillennial: Rapture is inseparable part of Jesus’ single return to Earth after the Tribulation. Amillennial: Not a literal 1ooo years nor a future state. Rev. 20:3-7 is happening right now as Jesus’ church reigns with him over the earth.

What about us here and now? Read Matt. 4:17 and Colossians 3:1-4 What do these awesome words tell you?
