OVERVIEW Sustainability progress – 2011-2012 POLICIES AND PLANS − Environmental inventory completed January, 2011 − Sustainability plan finalized in March 2011 − Green building, green lease, and sustainable procurement policies finalized October, 2011 REDUCING OUR IMPACT − Lighting and control upgrades made to 32 branches; reduced energy consumption by 20%/facility; equates to a $350,000 annual electricity costs savings. − On-site renewable energy projects in Honolulu and Phoenix. OVERVIEW GWC challenges WESCO Pittsburgh – a fully-serviced lease makes the following a challenge: − Calculating our baseline environmental performance − payback for sustainability investments WESCO Warrendale – suburban campus makes travel-related items a challenge. WESCO facilities looking to overcome these challenges by: − Voluntary mapping of commutes to present carpool options − Using meters and estimates to refine baselines and model savings − Continuing to identify opportunities through system commissioning − Working with our landlord on “win-win” solutions that will help the whole building be more sustainable

OVERVIEW WESCO’s Environmental Footprint ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT Greenhouse gas emissions: 47,484 metric tons, down 3.6% from 2010. Building energy intensity: 44,150 BTU/sqft, down 2.3% from 2010. Building electricity consumption: 5.95 kWh/sqft, down 6.1% from 2010. Waste generation: 8,156 tons, down 11% from 2010 and down 40% from 2009. Fleet Fuel use: 985,604 gallons, down 1.7% from 2010 and down 5% from 2009. CORPORATE FOOTPRINT Building square footage: 9.4 million sqft, up 4.4% from 2010. # vehicles: 557, down 2% from 2010 and down 4% from 2009 Total revenues: $6.13 billion, up 21% from 2010 and up 30.5% from 2009. Energy and environmental costs: $11.7 million, up 6.2% from 2010.
