A Christian... Is “a person reborn”, living in newness of life. Now “belongs to the Lord”, God’s special child sojourning in this world as a pilgrim. Is “living by faith”, trusting in the Lord and desiring to be a trustworthy servant. Is “sanctified in Christ Jesus”, set apart by the Spirit to pursue holiness.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. Are you remaining faithful to the Lord? Are you resisting the devil steadfast in the faith? Are you guarded by the power of God?

You are if... You are being watchful and resisting our adversary who seeks to destroy you. You are accepting every day the help God provides in Jesus and the Bible. You are actively doing the things that keep you guarded by the power of God.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God? Do you believe that he died, was buried, and was resurrected from the dead, by the power of God, so that your sins may be forgiven?
